Würzburg (D) Retail Park

The retail park is conveniently located directly at the Würzburg-Estenfeld motorway exit. A large Hornbach hardware store, a grocery discounter, and a Telekom Business Center have settled on a total of 20,000 square meters.
The planning phase of this project was very complex and took three years. Firstly, because the area was divided into numerous individual properties with different owners. On the other hand, because species-protected hamsters were suspected on parts of these construction sites, which had to be relocated before the start of construction. Grants from the state were jointly applied for to finance the access because the city of Würzburg did not have an approved budget. Construction finally started in December 2004; After only nine months of construction, the project and all traffic routes were completed, and the areas were handed over to the tenants.
