OBI Hardware Store, Neu-Ulm (D)

In 1999 the Mutschler Center in Neu-Ulm was expanded to include an OBI hardware store. The largest hardware store in southern Germany with an expanded range of home improvement items, garden supplies, and prefabricated houses has been created on 20,000 square meters.
The project was realized in record time: the construction time was only six months, the construction of the surrounding traffic infrastructure, including parking areas and trees was only four weeks. The result is a building complex in which functionality and architectural aesthetics combine with high economic efficiency through effective facility management.
