Designer Outlet, Landquart (CH)

On November 26, 2009, the Designer Outlet in Landquart near Chur (Canton of Graubünden) opened its doors. The “Village style” outlet center offers a unique shopping experience on a total area of ​​21,000 square meters with over 100 shops, restaurants, and cafés as well as 1,200 parking spaces. Thanks to the central location with national importance (CH, D, FL), the outlet can be reached quickly and easily. The micro-location is unique, not far from the motorway exit and directly at Landquart train station with direct, underground access from the tracks.
The property extends over the two political communities Igis and Zizers. This required a complex, double approval process in addition to the very complex negotiations with the canton and the various environmental authorities.
After completion of the development work and receipt of the legally valid building permit, an institutional, international real estate fund applied for the purchase of the project in order to implement it according to the approved plans. During the construction phase, MIAG Switzerland advised the project until it was successfully completed.
